The HigherED4Industry project

HigherED 4 Industry aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by supporting experienced professionals in transitioning to teaching and research roles within higher education institutions across Europe. The project’s main objectives are to foster academia-industry collaboration and to enable hybrid careers for professionals seeking to contribute their expertise to higher education. In the context of post-COVID recovery and the twin green and digital transitions, this project aims to empower higher education institutions as they adapt to the shifts in the education and industry landscapes.

Through research, peer learning activities, workshops and the identification of good practices, HigherED4Industry will produce guidelines for higher education institutions and policy recommendations that will focus on tackling the barriers faced by experienced professionals willing to access the teaching and the research professions in HE, in order to reduce staff shortages and foster the development of relevant skills and programmes, contributing significantly to the overall advancement of higher education across Europe.

The videomaker

In order to ensure engaging communication around the project and effective dissemination of the findings and results, EFEE deems it crucial to invite a video-maker to assist us with the creation of several videos from the four events of the project. The video-maker is expected to take care of the video and sound recording of event highlights, interviews, and other sessions during the events as agreed upon with EFEE. Following each event, to edit the recorded materials into publishable videos. The video-maker is also expected to take photographs during the event, for publication on EFEE and participant’s social media.

Therefore, EFEE expects the video-maker to have proven photography, video recording and editing experience and ability to use recording equipment. Preferably, the video-maker will showcase understanding of the topic of academia-industry collaboration and hybrid careers in order to be able to identify the most relevant challenges and opportunities presented and discussed during the events.
