On 4 May 2021, EFEE General Secretary gathered with other leading partners of the EEPN project, such as the European School Heads Association (ESHA), the Network of Education Policy Centers (NEPC) and the European Trade Union Committee for Education (ETUCE), to discuss the future structure of the network.

Focal point of discussion was the Sustainability Report, which was revised by ESHA in collaboration with NEPC on the basis of the feedback provided by EFEE and ETUCE in the framework of the previous meeting on 1 April 2021. The report presents three different scenarios for the future structure of the network: a network with a facilitator, a voluntary consortium and a legal entity. ETUCE and EFEE once more fortified their standpoints made during previous meetings, emphasizing the need to take out the latter scenario option and reach a therewith bound consensus with all partners involved by the end of the 2nd year of the project.

The Sustainability Report was readjusted after the meeting by ESHA based on this input given. EFEE has reviewed the updated document and provided its feedback to ESHA. Further, participants were informed that the annual conference of the project will be postponed to October 2021 due to COVID-19 circumstances. The preliminary date of the conference will be shared with leading partners before the summer break.
