The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) plays an important role in shaping international discussions on education, skills and the future of learning.
Through the Education Employers International Partnership, education employers are connected to the OECD’s work on emerging policy priorities, international evidence and practices from education systems around the world.
EFEE has representatives in all OECD 2030 Thematic Working Groups under the Future of Education and Skills 2030 initiative. Their participation helps bring the perspective of education employers into global policy discussions, while also giving the wider community access to new research, international practices and policy developments. These insights are shared through regular updates and dedicated policy exchanges.
In April 2024, EFEE also participated in the Third Global Community Meeting of the OECD Schools+ Network in Billund, Denmark. The meeting presented pedagogical tools and strategies developed by the network to support improved learning in schools.
In November 2025, EFEE attended the OECD Education 2040 Global Forum in Bratislava. The event focused on curriculum transformation in the age of artificial intelligence and brought together international experts and policymakers to discuss the future of education.
Engagement with the OECD strengthens the international voice of education employers and supports knowledge exchange on curriculum, teaching, leadership, skills and innovation.
