The Next EU Budget: Multiannual Financial Framework 2028–2034
EFEE’s official statement regarding the upcoming Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2028–2034 is now available. The MFF is the European Union’s long-term budget plan, typically spanning seven years. It ensures that the EU’s annual budgets are planned in a coherent and structured way, aligning spending with strategic priorities across areas like regional development, research and innovation, the green and digital transitions, and—crucially—education and skills.
As an officially recognised European sectoral social partner in education, EFEE strongly welcomes the European Commission’s efforts to simplify and focus the next MFF to better meet EU policy priorities. In our newly published statement, we call for education and training to be positioned at the heart of the EU’s financial strategy.
