Building Attractive and Sustainable Teacher Career Pathways Across Europe
The TeachProgress Final Dissemination Conference will take place in Athens, Greece, on 25 November 2026, bringing together education employers, school leaders, policymakers and other education stakeholders to discuss how career progression can contribute to a more attractive and sustainable teaching profession.
The conference marks the conclusion of the TeachProgress project – Empowering Tomorrow’s Educators: Education employers supporting the teaching profession through career progression structures. The project has explored how teacher career structures, progression opportunities and incentive systems can help respond to teacher shortages and improve the attractiveness of teaching careers across Europe.
Throughout the project, partners have examined different national approaches through comparative research, peer learning and policy discussions. The final conference will present the project’s main findings and practical guidelines, showcase lessons gathered from across Europe, and provide space to reflect on the challenges and opportunities involved in reforming teacher career progression structures.
The event is hosted by the European Federation of Education Employers (EFEE), Palladio School (PS) and the European Council of National Associations of Independent Schools (ECNAIS).
