On 4 June 2026, EEIP marked an important step in its development with the webinar “Global education in action: Connecting partners for the Future of Teaching and Learning.”
Organised by EFEE in collaboration with UNESCO, the webinar served as a launch and engagement moment for the growing EEIP community. It brought together education employers, ministries, networks and international partners to discuss shared challenges and identify opportunities for cooperation.
The event focused on key international education priorities, including:
- Teacher shortages
- Quality of teaching
- Artificial intelligence in education
- The future of the teaching profession
- International partnerships
- Opportunities for collaboration through projects and policy exchange
The webinar opened with Daniel Wisniewski, Secretary General of EFEE, followed by a presentation from Carlos Vargas, Head of the Secretariat of the International Task Force on Teachers for Education 2030. Participants were introduced to the Teacher Task Force and to the objectives of EEIP as a platform for dialogue, networking, knowledge exchange and joint action. Representatives from Sivista and FEDSAS also shared perspectives from the EEIP community.
The event demonstrated the added value of bringing education employers into global conversations and provided a first space for members and partners to build relationships, exchange priorities and explore future collaboration.
