On 4 June 2026, EFEE will host its first webinar in collaboration with UNESCO, following EFEE’s recent acceptance into the UNESCO Teachers Task Force. The online event, titled “Global education in action: connecting partners for the future of teaching and learning”, will take place from 14:00 to 15:30 CEST and will bring together education stakeholders from Europe and beyond to discuss shared priorities for the future of education.
The webinar will provide an opportunity to reflect on key global challenges affecting education systems today, including teacher shortages, the quality of teaching, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in education. With contributions from UNESCO and the wider education community, the session will highlight the importance of international cooperation, knowledge exchange and joint action in addressing these issues.
During the webinar, EFEE will also present the Education Employers International Partnership (EEIP), a new initiative developed to formalise EFEE’s growing global network of education stakeholders. The EEIP aims to strengthen dialogue and cooperation between education employers and partners at international level, creating space for shared learning, policy exchange and collaboration across borders.
Participants will also hear from voices within the community and explore concrete opportunities for international collaboration, including through EU-funded projects. The webinar will serve as an important step in building stronger global connections and supporting education employers in contributing to international education priorities.
The agenda will include:
- Reflections on key global education challenges, including teacher shortages, teaching quality and artificial intelligence in education
- Presentation of the UNESCO Teachers Task Force and EFEE’s role within the network
- Introduction of the Education Employers International Partnership
- Contributions from education stakeholders and partners from Europe and beyond
- Discussion on opportunities for international cooperation, knowledge exchange and EU-funded projects
