The European Federation of Education Employers (EFEE) has published its position paper on Quality Education for All: A 2040 Roadmap, welcoming the development of a European roadmap for digital education and skills. EFEE stresses that digital transformation should be guided by educational needs, with pedagogy driving technology, not the other way around.

The paper highlights several priorities for Europe’s digital education future, including responsible use of AI, digital wellbeing and online safety, stronger digital sovereignty, interoperability and data portability, investment in teachers and school leaders, digital inclusion, and cybersecurity.

EFEE also calls for closer cooperation between education institutions, researchers and technology providers, while ensuring that education employers and trade unions are fully involved in shaping digital transformation through social dialogue.
