The European Federation of Education Employers is pleased to publish its latest Position Paper on Erasmus+, outlining key priorities and recommendations for the future of one of the European Union’s most impactful education programmes. Representing education employers across Europe, EFEE continues to advocate for strong, resilient and inclusive education systems supported by well-designed European policies and programmes.

Erasmus+ has played a crucial role in enhancing cooperation between institutions, supporting mobility, and strengthening education systems across Europe. In this position paper, EFEE reflects on the programme’s achievements while also highlighting important areas for improvement. Particular attention is given to ensuring balanced funding across education sectors, aligning ambitions with available resources, and reinforcing the role of social partners in shaping and implementing the programme.

Looking ahead, EFEE calls for a more ambitious and well-resourced Erasmus+ programme that remains accessible, inclusive and responsive to the real needs of education institutions, learners and staff. Strengthening governance structures, ensuring fair access, and maintaining a balance between mobility and cooperation actions will be key to maximising its long-term impact.
