The European Federation of Education Employers (EFEE) and the European Trade Union Committee for Education (ETUCE) are excited to announce open calls for subcontractors for our new joint initiative:
“Enhancing the attractiveness of the teaching profession through strengthened Social Dialogue – capacity building in Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership countries” (EastSD).
This initiative aims to address teacher shortages and improve the appeal of the teaching profession by supporting and enhancing social dialogue in the education sector. The project will bring together education employers and trade unions in the Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership countries through peer learning activities, research, and policy exchange, with the ultimate goal of strengthening the capacity of social partners and encouraging participation in the European Sectoral Social Dialogue in Education (ESSDE).

We are looking for:
An expert researcher:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced researcher to lead the evidence-based dimension of the project. The selected expert will conduct comprehensive desk research, coordinate an online survey, and synthesize insights from peer learning activities in Poland, Moldova, and Montenegro. Their work will culminate in a robust research report, three reflection reports, and contributions to outputs like guidelines and a joint policy statement. Applicants should have expertise in social dialogue within the education sector, with particular insight into the Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership regions.
A professional video-maker:
We’re also looking for a creative and experienced video-maker to help document and showcase the project’s journey and end results. The role involves attending all peer learning activities and the final conference, capturing high-quality footage and conducting interviews with participants. The goal is to produce engaging videos that not only increase the project’s visibility but also promote social dialogue and contribute to increasing the attractiveness of the teaching profession. A total of four videos will be produced—one for each activity.
